To support the expansion of our activities in The UK, we are looking to hire a Sales Manager. You will be given the opportunity to play a dynamic role in a growing international company. Your responsibilities will be divided in 50% sales (actual operational sales tasks) and 50% teamlead (coaching, manage P&L, recruitment for your team in collaboration with HR, ...). You'll report directly to our Sales & Partnership Director.

In Belgium, we are active in the field of hardware, software, e-learning content, and connectivity. In other countries, we focus on software solutions. We are the market leader in Belgium and are established in France, Germany, Turkey, the Nordics, and Spain.

Academic Software acts as an intermediary for large software licenses such as Microsoft and Adobe. We also offer hundreds of other software through our Academic Software platform, which allows students and faculty to legally download the latest versions of the software they need for their courses. In addition to the range of paid software that we offer at very affordable prices, we also have a library of approximately 800 free software, and we offer cloud computing solutions as well.

As a Sales Manager, you will lead and manage the sales team to achieve targets and drive growth in the UK market. You will develop and execute effective sales strategies while building and maintaining relationships with universities, colleges, and secondary schools. You will identify their software and IT needs, propose tailored solutions, and present the Academic Software platform. Additionally, you will act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their inquiries are handled efficiently. You will collaborate with internal departments to ensure client satisfaction, conduct training sessions, and manage administrative tasks, including tender procedures and contract management.

As a SALES MANAGER you possess the following skills:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in ideally, Business, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent with a strong affinity to IT solutions.

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the education sector.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and handle long sales cycles.

  • In-depth knowledge of educational software offerings is a plus.

  • Strong technical-commercial background in selling services.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with an audience.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within The UK and occasionally in Europe.

  • Native English speaker.
